About Mr. Nobile
Mr. Adam Nobile has had the pleasure to serve as Director of Bands at Big Spring High School since January, 2014. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Nobile has served in various capacities as a music educator throughout Pennsylvania. From 2008-2010, Mr. Nobile was the Concert Band Director, Assistant Marching Band Director, and Music Theory instructor at Dallastown High School in Dallastown, PA. From 2010-2013, he served as the Director of Bands at Graystone Academy Charter School in Coatesville, PA and as the Marching Band Director for Ephrata High School in Ephrata, PA. Mr. Nobile's current appointment is High School Director of Bands and K-12 Music Department Chair for the Big Spring School District.
Mr. Nobile is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, and a graduate of Messiah College with a Master of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting. Mr. Nobile has studied under numerous conductors including Wayne Romer, Eugene Corporon, Brad Genevro, and William Stowman.
Mr. Nobile was a 2014 nominee for the WGAL Teacher Impact Award and a 2017 Quarterfinalist for the Grammy Foundation Music Education Award.
Mr. Nobile is an active performer on Tuba, Trombone, and Euphonium throughout South-Central Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has been an active drill writer for over a decade, writing for over a dozen bands throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Mr. Nobile is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educator Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and the National Association for Music Education. He also serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Cavalcade of Bands and serves on the Board of the Greater Harrisburg Concert Band, of which he is also member. Additionally, Mr. Nobile is the President for the Cumberland County Music Educators Association.
